My work is rooted in storytelling; the kind that lives between moments. I’m drawn to the subtle gestures, fleeting glances, and quiet in‑betweens that define the rhythm of a wedding day. My photography balances documentary honesty with refined editorial composition, blending a classic aesthetic with a modern sensibility.
I work with natural light whenever possible, letting it sculpt mood and texture rather than overpower the story. This approach creates images that feel both timeless and alive, soft yet structured, elegant yet unposed. Whether in the grandeur of a château, the intimacy of a city terrace, or the calm of an open field, I seek to capture atmosphere as much as emotion. Though using flash can sometimes elevate the photo and i love to experiment with both natural light and flash.
Each frame is guided by a sense of simplicity and restraint: clean lines, thoughtful framing, authentic connection. I believe photographs should breathe, leaving space for memory to enter. My goal is not only to document how a day looked, but how it felt.

It's Nice to Meet You
I’m a Frisian photographer based in the quiet countryside of Gelderland, where I live with my husband and our two sons. My eye is shaped by a love of art, literature, and cinema; the kind of timeless storytelling found in Pride and Prejudice, museum halls, and classical music.
Sensitive to atmosphere and emotion, I approach photography with calm observation and intent. What began years ago with my father’s old camera has grown into a devotion to documenting weddings, not simply as events, but as honest, composed portraits of connection and beauty.
